cladding

For our house’s exterior cladding, we elected to use a 19mm tongue & groove pine cladding. While my dad didn’t use the nail gun much for the framing, he’s become an expert at using it for the cladding. With just a little practice, he now positions the gun at the exact place and angle so that the tongue doesn’t shatter from the force of the nail – even when standing 5 pallets high on scaffolding.

Though our front wall still requires paint, flashing, windows and a door, the house gained a clean, square aesthetic as soon as the final cladding boards were installed. Hopefully it will continue to look this good!
